Frequently asked questions

Does klimber know where I live?

No. Your location is used to work out what’s happening around you, and that’s all: your exact location is never stored. The app reads it only when you open it, never in the background. If you turn on the “New things near you” alert, only a blurred location is kept, visible to no one.

Can someone find my address from my post?

No. Every post is shifted by 300 to 600 meters, on your phone, before it is even sent. And your photos leave without their hidden data: no GPS location, no date, no phone model.

Do I have to give my name or my number?

No. An e-mail and a nickname are enough. No phone number, no access to your contacts.

So how do people contact me?

By message, in the app. Your e-mail is never shown. And if someone bothers you, you block them in two taps.

Are there ads? Is my data sold?

No, and no. No ads, no trackers, no reselling of data.

Do my posts stay online forever?

No. You choose: a day, a week or a month. Then the post disappears on its own. You can also delete it earlier, whenever you want.

Who checks what gets posted?

Every post is checked automatically as soon as it is published, text and images, by an OpenAI service, for moderation only. And you can report a post in two taps: every report is looked at.

And if I want to erase everything?

In your profile: “Delete my account”. Your posts, your photos and your data are gone for good.
